Which Industries Survive the Most During a Recession?

Being the owner of an airfreight forwarding logistics company, Freight Dynamics; we see which business industries seem to be "hit" less with the effects of a recession like the one we have been in since 2008.  The Medical Industry seems to prosper as people still need medical care when they are sick, and during a recession a lot of people suffer financially as well as emotionally which keeps them coming to the doctor. The Food industry seems to do okay since everyone needs to eat, and food shelters are becoming more and more utilized.

Freight Dynamics has survived the recession by providing competitive pricing for all modes of transportation from Air Freight Worldwide, to Domestic Freight, National Packaging and Crating, and Fulfillment, Warehousing and Distribution Services.  Outsourcing product fulfillment to a third party can be very cost effective and has many benefits most companies haven't considered.  Reduced payroll saves on Unemployment State and Federal taxes, Paying for service when its needed and only when its needed is a fantastic way to survive during any economic situation.  Health Insurance has become a major expense for most businesses, so having fewer staff makes this expense more affordable for key employees.
